We know where our food comes from, do you?
A note on GMOs: We believe that if food was suppose to contain animal proteins then our vegetables would all move around and make noise like animals do. We stand against all GMO engenering companies.
Silver Moon Farms will only purchase ORGANIC, heirloom, and antique variety seeds from reputable, organic companies that share in the stand against GMOs. We plan to SAVE SEEDS and never be prosecuted for patent infringment... a popular activity for GMO producers.

Welcome to Silver Moon Farms!
Being family owned and operated comes with great rewards. We know the joy that comes with a bountiful harvest, and we want to share that with you.
Located outside of Ann Arbor just south of Howell between Pinckney and Hamburg, we operate off what used to be a cattle dairy. Now it's a goat dairy. We have maintained the old barn and repainted it, fixed what was falling and repaired what was breaking. It's old, but we couldn't resist. There is something about the old barn and the old house that just needs to be used, and farmed. So thats what we do.
Here at Silver Moon Farms we strive for quality in our produce and our animals. We sell goat shares (milk), farm fresh eggs, chickens, rabbits, fiber, and seasonal produce.
Please take some time to check out our site. If you like what you see and read, come check us out for real. We are looking for great people to share products with.

We do it the old fashioned way, with time, and sweat, and pride. We can't call it totally organic even if we practice totally organic because chemicals have been used in the past. We call it back to Basic Farming. We use a tiller (the gas kind) for the earth, and copious amounts of manure from the animals to fertilize.
We steer as far from what we call 'artificial' farming as we can. We believe chemicals simply are not needed, and certainly cannot be good for our bodies, let alone our planet. So we stick with as natural as possible.
Seeds of Change will be our seed supplier for 2012. Expensive yes, but organic and won't threaten to sue over patent infringement when we save our seeds!

Our Animals
We raise our livestock with the sort of loving care one would expect to find when raising children. We care for our animals with respect for their lives, and appreciation for what they supply for us.
We believe our compassion for them shows in their growth and their health and disposition. From the chickens to the horses and all the animals in between, each are important.
Welcome to Silver Moon Farms
